The Hermes clic clac has an elegant seamless look that can leave new owners a bit perplexed. We've been asked how to open the bracelet several times now, so here's a quick how-to.

While still pressing on both sides, push on each of the legs until you find the leg that opens the bracelet. Once unlatched, the bracelet can open widely to fit your wrist.

Instructions as according to Hermes:

Authenticity is very important at Lollipuff. Designer items even at discounted resale prices can be an investment. That's why Lollipuff offers an authentication service for items. While performing authentications, we learned 3 extremely SHOCKING things.

Some boyfriends are not to be trusted

Of all people, who most commonly gifts faked goods? The boyfriend. Not the husband, not the bff, and most definitely not your mama, but we've found that many boyfriends commonly give counterfeit bags and clothing disguised as the real deal.

Perhaps, they don't know any better when shopping online, or perhaps they don't appreciate the beauty or workmanship of authentic designer fashion, but it's no excuse to outright lie where the bag or shoes were purchased from!

Now, there are some guys who seriously go the extra mile. Equipped with an economical mind and loving diligence, some men get an item authenticated prior to making a designer purchase. If you've got a man that saves hundreds of dollars while putting some time and effort into making a designer purchase, the guy is a serious keeper and extremely rare.

The worst kind of friend... if you can even call them that...

So... unless all of your friends are the elite type, if one of your friends offers to sell you her pre-owned luxury handbag or dress, get it checked beforehand.

When people state that they purchased their secondhand designer item from a friend, more often than not, it turns out to be fake. This is completely shocking but true. In fact, we know of one particular girl who bought over 5 bags at top dollar from a "friend" that all turned out to be replica Louis Vuitton.

This is probably the worst kind of counterfeit sale out there, and yet all too common.

Fake Authenticators

We saved the worst offense for last. Oftentimes, people will use our authentication service as a second and final opinion. Oftentimes, these customers have the most appalling, INCORRECT information about authenticity. And, you know where they got this information? From another "authenticator."

Yea... there are a lot of people out there who really don't know anything about authentication, and THEY are CHARGING people for services!

Just yesterday, we heard this in reference to a Louis Vuitton bag: "I took this bag to someone here locally & they said when they looked up the datecode that it pulled up a Speedy bag." O.M.G. If you are at all knowledgeable about Louis Vuitton, you'd know that multiple Louis Vuitton bags and multiple LV styles can share the same datecode. A datecode is not unique to a Louis Vuitton like a serial number is to a Chanel. W.T.F. SUCH misinformation.

It's frightening how many HORRIBLE "authenticators" there are out there. They typically ere on the side of saying an item is fake when it is not. I really hope no valuable designer items have been destroyed due to these irresponsible, unethical, unqualified "authenticators." These people have to understand that authenticity is a very very serious service. When done incorrectly, it impacts BOTH the buyer and seller immensely. Authentications should never be flippantly provided.

If a site or authenticator is not well-known, has little to no reputation, has poor reputation and/or has not demonstrated observable expertise, be skeptical.

Here are some of the most commonly counterfeited designer brands out there. Can you authenticate these popular bags?

Have you wondered what kind of authentication requests Lollipuff receives? Our most popular authentication requests include the 3 most well-known brands: Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Hermes... and pretty much in that order!

Here is a good representation of the most common types of requests that we get. Can you tell the fake items from the authentic items?

What do you do when your beautiful bag's straps, edges or handles start to fray with wispy loose strings? Here's a tutorial on how to fix this cosmetic flaw.

This beautiful Balenciaga moto bag's handles are beginning to fray on the edges. Thankfully, it's super easy to rejuvenate the well-loved handles and edges.

What You'll Need

1. Bag with fraying handles or straps
2. Edge Kote in the color of your bag or in neutral
3. Small paint brush or many q-tips
4. Scissors
5. Leather repair kit (not needed if Edge Kote comes in the color that your bag is in)

What to Do

1. Trim off any loose threads carefully with sharp scissors.
2. Paint the edges with Edge Kote. If your bag is in a color that Edge Kote does not come in (black, brown, tan, etc), make the bag color by mixing the paint colors in this repair kit with neutral-colored Edge Kote before painting the edges.
3. Allow to dry.

And, that's it! Handbag straps are nicer just like that!

This repair can be completed on any similar edges. The same steps were applied on the edges of the bag. It was also experiencing some fraying. As you can see the result is quite an improvement. 🙂

The human body. The thoughtful form. The elegant movements. The functionality. The experiences it lends us.

Herve Leger celebrates the human body. It accentuates and flatters. And, last week, not only did I get to wear one of my favorite dresses, but I got to experience Henna which also celebrates and accentuates the human form.

Have you experienced Henna? It was my first time. Did you know that the use of Henna to adorn young women's bodies has been practiced since the late bronze age? It's not surprising that a practice that has lasted this long is also incredibly elegant and beautiful.

What is so enchanting about Henna is its ability to emphasize the daintiness of fingers, the grace of a wrist. Doesn't it look a bit mystical and even magical?

It's hard to believe that 2016 is coming to an end. Personally, it's been an extremely pivotal year.

2016 was eye-opening. It was a wonderful year of learning. And of all the lessons, being more free was my biggest revelation.

This may be incredibly obvious to others. But, for me, letting loose and devoting time to frivolous hobbies seemed irresponsible and counter-productive.

But, those frivolous things are what make us different from rigid robots. Those silly things make us interesting, individualistic. But, more importantly, life is about our own unique experience, and it is so frighteningly fleeting.

Make it a point to spend some days like a child. Dance like a crazy person. Read a book under a great big tree. Watch "The Little Prince" on Netflix. Do whatever makes you feel free like a child. Enjoy the immense beauty and wonder that is all around us.

Celebrate this time of the year. Take a moment to reflect on all the beautiful memories of 2016 and all the dreams and hopes of 2017. My warmest wishes for everyone and their families. May happiness and health be with you all.

Chopping my hair off was a silly attempt to be more original, to be tougher. Oddly enough, I do feel more rebel and independent.

It's funny how one of life's biggest mysteries is figuring out who oneself is. Getting older means greater self-reflection and oftentimes more confusion.

It took me 30 years to even start understanding my own weaknesses, strengths, and what I really long for. It's only the beginning.

Classic, tailored, high-quality clothing will always be my preference, but my color choices vastly differ from even a year ago. Current me loves dark, moody, romantic colors like black and burgundy.

Aren't we humans like a bunch of chameleons? So often our clothing and style reveal much about our life and spirit. Perhaps, we are all trying to share who we are on the inside.

Isn't it odd how one article of clothing can change you? One morning I woke up feeling suffocated. And a simple black graphic tee made it so much better.

Have you ever felt that you belonged too much? That those around you were not different enough?

Never would I have thought that this was possible until I moved to Silicon Valley. While this place and its culture is fabulous and unique, it can feel very monochromatic.

Silicon Valley's biggest clique is the nerds. From the local news, to the crazy-high cost of living, to even how you feel about yourself, the effects are clearly felt.

Since moving to California about 4 years ago, nearly all my friends here are in technology. They're truly AMAZING people, but honestly, we're not that different from each other.

I miss my friends who would vehemently disagree with me, the ones who would openly remark at the beauty of a certain tree, or those who had completely different hobbies. I miss those viewpoints and those experiences.

One morning, when I felt this way particularly poignantly, I threw on this graphic Guns n Roses tee. It's a bit grungy with an edge, nothing at all like me. In my mind, this shirt belonged to an unconstrained free spirit who lived for the present moment. It made me feel so much better throughout the day.

Halloween, my favorite holiday, is approaching fast. This holiday demonstrates the power of garb. How clothing can change attitudes and perspectives is truly amazing. Not only do I hope that you get to really step into another character's shoes on this special holiday, but I invite you to enjoy the experience whenever you desire. 🙂

Chanel's celebrated caviar leather is extremely durable making handbags in this leather very desirable. However, lighter-colored caviar leather can get discolored from dirt, color transfer, scuff marks, and oil. But did you know that this beautiful leather can usually be cleaned up pretty easily? See how we removed stubborn stains from a Chanel bag that is nearly 20 years old!

Before attempting to remove any stains, please note that this tutorial is for hard caviar leather.

Cleaning Supplies Needed:

1. hard caviar Chanel bag with stains, scuffing and/or color transfer
2. Cadillac boot & shoe care leather conditioner
3. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
4. paper towel or soft colorfast cloth

This off-white hard caviar Chanel bag was in relatively good vintage shape. However, the bottom of the bag had significant stains. They could not be removed with an eraser or soap on a towel. To most people, it seemed that these stains may be permanent.

However, with the right products, the stains were easily and almost entirely removed.

Steps to Removing Stains on Hard Caviar Leather:

1. Break a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser in half. Dampen one half with water and squeeze out all excess. Keep the other half dry.
2. Wipe down the stained areas with the damp eraser. Light to moderate pressure is all that is needed; do not apply excessive pressure or repeatedly clean the same area. We recommend spot testing first before cleaning larger areas.
3. Wipe down (lightly) the same areas with the dry eraser.
4. Dampen towel or cloth with Cadillac leather conditioner and rub all over areas that were cleaned to reintroduce some moisture.

The bottom of the bag had the most noticeable wear, and the before and after for this area is very obvious.

This tutorial worked for any area with caviar leather including the straps. It was very fast and very easy. And, the Chanel bag is greatly enhanced.

This process worked very well to clean the bag on hand, but DIY outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Please proceed with caution.

Louis Vuitton monogram bags go particularly well with anything blue or denim. Every time I throw on denim, Louis Vuitton is on my mind. Here's a high-waisted jean shorts outfit paired with a vintage Louis Vuitton Druout bag.

wearing: Forever 21 buttoned charcoal duster (here), white Equipment silk blouse (here), Wildfox Couture high-waisted shorts (similar in fit here), Talbots reversible belt (LOVE it and recommend it here), Ann Taylor ankle wedges (similar here), sterling silver long y necklace (similar here), Louis Vuitton Druout shoulder bag

I love transitional weather. It's still warm enough to don some short shorts, but also chilly enough to add some cute layers.

The long duster look is not only slimming, it's also dramatic and casual at the same time. That little bit of extra warmth comes in handy as well.
